5 Little Ways to Brighten Your Day
Happy Tuesday Mermaids 🐚 This morning when I woke up I immediately felt like writing about ways to brighten your day, we could all use some light right now, don’t you think?! So here are 5 little ways to brighten your day 🌻
1. Candles and Incense
Smell is such a powerful tool. When I’m setting my intentions in the mornings I like to light candles and burn incense to transform my mood.
2. Mantras
Mantras are an amazing way to brighten your mood. Your mind is such a powerful tool and listens to what you tell yourself. If you need a little pick me up a simple mantra is “I am Love & Light”.....just keep repeating it over and over until it feels authentic ✨There are way more in-depth mantras but in a pinch simple ones totally work.
3. Plant Babies
I lurve plants....this is actually the first year I’ve ever been able to keep any alive lol (in my defense I’ve kept an 8 year old boy alive so 🤣). Studies have shown that just by having plants around you can elevate your mood, so go ahead, get your green on 🌿
4. Finding New Ways to Wear Old Faves
Sustainability is all about finding multiple ways to wear items in your wardrobe. This morning I tossed on this organic cotton tee and kept thinking I wanted to wear it in a new way....insert vintage scarf tied in the center to create a completely new look! It brightens my day to be eco friendly 🌎
5. Wear Yellow
I mean, what’s more mood elevating than wearing the color of the sun?! Toss on this bright and cheery color no matter what time of the year to feel warm and bright 🌞
