Fall Equinox- Balance of Light & Dark
Mabon, otherwise known as the Fall Equinox is this Monday, September 23rd. Mabon is when the sun reaches 0 degrees of Libra...the day and night are of equal length, signifying a time of balance, equality and harmony. In Pagan times it was also a harvest festival and it was considered a time for giving thanks for all the abundance Mother Earth had provided.
The Fall Equinox marks the last spoke in Pagan Wheel of the Year, from that day until the Winter Solstice the days grow shorter. It is a good time to reflect on the negative and positive events that have happened throughout the year and to give thanks for everything no matter the outcome.
“Because the Equinox is a time of balance, try to balance yin & yang, active & passive on the day. Seek rest & activity, solitude & socializing in equal portions.”
So happy Mabon mermaids, I pray you honor your inner rhythms and find balance this season...and remember, there can be no light without the dark 🌾
